I want to build a backgammon tournament app that accepts payment to join the tournament, in which the entry subscriptions become the prize pool. The tournament structure needs to have multiple layers (set up using brackets like a tennis tournament), so that existing backgammon clubs can register their teams on the app, and that players can opt to play against their family, friends, contacts, work colleagues, Facebook friends, etc. It is necessary that the app is able to work out when players register and then work out all the numbers and automatically create all the brackets required, so that as more players or teams sign on, then more brackets are created. As it will be structured as an Elimination Tournament, (which is an event in which half the competitors are eliminated each round until just one player remains), the player numbers always need to be equal in each bracket (e.g. 8 players, 16 players, 32 players, 64 players, 128 players, 256 players, etc). It is quite hard to run a tournament quickly with more than 256 players as it requires too many rounds to finish, (i.e. if Round 1 is 256 players = 128 games. Round 2 is 128 players = 64 games. Round 3 is 64 players = 32 games. Round 4 is 32 players = 16 games. Round 5 is 16 players = 8 games. Round 6 is 8 players = 4 games. Round 7 = 4 players = 2 games. Round 8 is 2 players = 1 games = Winner), but if more players do sign on, then we need to create mirror leagues of the same size so that they all feed into one single tournament later on, when the numbers are reduced. There also need to be multiple layers so that players can play only against friends, or family, etc, or against anyone. I also want players to be able to nominate the value of their doubles, so this might require creating further sub-layers for different $$ values. We could do this by assigning chips of different values at the beginning of the game, (e.g. Green chips = 1c; Yellow chips = 5c; Red chips = 10c; Blue chips = 25c; Black chips = 50c; Purple chips = $1; Silver chips = $5; Gold chips = $10), and letting players only play against other players of the same value. There will be a lot of fine tuning to get this blueprint just right, but please don't apply to do me if you do not know how to play backgammon or if you cannot understand the game. I also want someone who understands the listing requirements of at least the Australian app store well, and preferably the UK and US stores as well. Willing to pay AUD$200 for getting this blueprint to Stage 1.
