Create a second lockscreen for Android that displays custom security questions and allows the user to input an answer via multiple choice or through a fill in the blank text field. When the user provides the correct answer to the second lockscreen the phone unlocks.
Basically: User unlocks primary (default) lockscreen. -> User is directed to secondary lockscreen -> user answers security question -> phone unlocks and user is presented with homescreen
This second lockscreen is meant to be used in addition to the existing lockscreen configuration. Since it is not a replace for the primary lockscreen, perfect security is not required (although if it was just as secure as the regular lockscreen and you could demonstrate that to me that would be a plus) so it is ok if the phone technically unlocks after the first/default lockscreen is unlocked as long as they are presented with the secondary lockscreen immediately afterwards and circumventing this second lockscreen is not trivial.
The "secondary lockscreen" should pull custom security questions from a local sqlite database (or flat file? what ever you think is best) and the app should populate this db by making requests to a REST api. There should also be a management interface that shows me what are the security questions in the sqlite db, a log of correct and incorrect answers, and a button that allows me to manually make REST api requests that repopulate the db.
