the app takes a video of the persons eye using the back camera and flash. he holds the camera in front of his face. the phone starts [login to view URL] 2 seconds the flash comes on. the phone keeps recording. after 3 seconds more the video stops recording. first for the right eye then the left eye. the app has to detect if the eye is in focus or not.
