I am a sophomore business student at Villanova University. In recent months, I have contacted local businesses around my campus to gauge their interest in developing a mobile ordering application for their customers. The interest was resoundingly positive! I have met with management at a large corporation with over 30 locations. I am now in the process of choosing a developer to create the native applications on iOS and Android.
The application interface is relatively simple. I have attached screenshots of a mobile application that I pitched to my university's Department of Dining Services. This is a framework that can be reapplied to many different quick service businesses. The application will need to process credit cards and debit cards. It must enable users to select a designated pick-up time. It must also have a back-end system for the employees to view a customer's order and pick-up time in order to produce it.
I am proposing this project as a joint venture and not a programmer for hire. On average, the businesses around my campus are willing to pay 7-8% of sales processed to have this service for their customers. As a joint venture, I will maintain and procure business contacts and the programmer will produce the native applications. Please respond with an offer of what ownership stake in this company would be required for you to produce the iOS and Android applications.
