We are looking for a developer for a platformer rhythm game. The gameplay involves a character running through a level as you perform various actions, such as jumping, in time to music.
We had a developer working on this part time. A good number of gameplay features were implemented, including the inputs, several visual elements, and the core gameplay, synchronization, and timing. However, he just got a full-time permanent offer and will be unable to complete this. He will still remain on the team as an advisor and assist in transitioning and explaining code to a new developer.
Your role would be:
1) Analyzing the code we have so far. There are only a few hundred lines, so this should not be too difficult. The last developer explained his methods to us and they made complete sense. He will assist you as well.
2) Implementing remaining gameplay features. We have most of them implemented, and we need probably 1-2 more.
3) Implementing remaining visual elements.
4) Implementing UI - menus.
OPTIONAL) Implementing online content/ranking system.
Please include your rates and any relevant Corona or musical experience. The budget is flexible so it would be helpful for you to provide hourly rates as well. We are trying to transition quickly so a quick response is appreciated.
