I need a solution for Asset Management and Equipment Audits.
We are currently using manually generated Equipment Receipts and then a physical tick sheet during monthly audits.
The database would be similar to the Asset Tracking database template.
Features required are the ability to import assets such as laptops and monitors as well as import personnel from a XLS spreadsheet.
Under Asset the following fields are required:
Location (matched to personnel if on issue or manually input for a particular room)
Under Person the following fields are required:
The ability to Issue equipment to a person using a barcode from their employee card to the barcode on asset. Once Issued the database needs to generate a hand receipt for the item which they sign and then scanned into the database against the asset, also keep a hard copy for audit purposes. If possible the Receipt would be a xls document which can be changed by myself for a particular logo and look and feel.
Under reports, the ability to scan every item on the shelf and on the floor and compare it against the entire asset register for items not located to enable the completion of a 100% monthly audit. As well as the ability to generate a 20% audit where the program will generate a random pick of 20% of assets on request.
The ability to print a report on assets issued to a particular client is also required.
Just to clarify on the monthly and weekly asset audits, the ability to switch to a "Audit Mode" where you can use an attached USB Barcode Scanner to walk around and scan items and then the associated asset would be checked off in the audit as being sighted. Or something similar?
I am tired of walking around with a clip board and pen and ticking off laptops and monitors then going through pages of a folder looking for issued items.
