Low Cost Rudder Angle Indicator

People on boats, ferries and ships also need some kind of sensor and alarm to let them know the situation of the boat’s important parts like Rudder. Research and development has been done as a new and an innovative product to detect Rudder Angle of the boat is an application of hardware and software of electrical and electronic devices. It contains a circuit with accelerometer sensor (input), Reed sensors, Programmable Interface Controller 16F877 (PIC), and three outputs of LEDs, a buzzer and a LCD to display types of conditions. When a person in this ship/boat/ferry has been worn by alarm system, will have enough time to save life before anything bad happen. Problem Statement: This project is creation due to the issues of passengers safety on sea is not so emphasized by the parties concerned. So it will not be demonstrated on a boat but a prototype of the steering system of boat can be developed and the sensors can be placed near the shaft that controls the rudder.
