The infinity edge overflow is where most pool hydraulic designs fail, so I will start there. I will design the weir and catch basin system to handle the pool volume and surge from waves so water doesn't spill over the main pool wall. I will use Computational Fluid Dynamics to model the flow into the weir and through the catch basin, ensuring consistent water levels and preventing air entrainment in the return lines. For the spa, I will design dedicated jets for therapeutic effect and integrate it so it draws and returns water efficiently. I will not implement a shared filtration system for both the pool and spa. The different heating and sanitation requirements make this problematic, leading to inefficient operation and potential water quality issues. Separate systems are better. What is the expected seasonal temperature range for the spa heating in California?
