Influence of intake manifold design on in-cylinder flow and engine performances in a car diesel engine converted to LPG gas fueled, using CFD analyses and vibrational sound analysis using MATLAB.

Diesel engines, especially for trucks, buses and cars, cause many economical and ecological problems. Diesel exhaust emissions are a major source of pollution in most urban centers around the world. Furthermore, the price of crude oil continues to increase rapidly. The use of alternative fuels (liquified petroleum gas, LPG and compressed natural gas, CNG) and the optimization of combustion present effective solutions. Improving combustion is directly related to improving the intake aerodynamic movements which is influenced by the inlet system, especially the intake manifold.

AIM of the Project:

For the same journal, by taking car diesel engine model instead of the bus Diesel engine and converting to LPG gas fueled using CFD analysis to the inlet manifold the engine preformation, volume, temperature, pressure rations will be taken.

By using MATLAB, the vibration and sound analysis will be taken, on how LPG gas will reduce noise than Diesel. This will be a new additional information and calculations, which is not even done in the reference journal.

The present journal will be considered for the calculations and reference part.
