Basic Ultrasound analysis

Run Matlab with field II or Focus simulations to find the appropriate ultrasound transducer/s or array and their properties to create a desired pressure gradient in a target medium.

The end goal would be reached in three steps. A single transducer to produce a simple pressure pattern, 4 transducers to replicate the same pattern four times, and finally a phased array to create a similar pressure pattern.

Simulation outcome would be the required transducer/s and array properties, and the properties of the pressure field inside the medium. The report would include all the simulations and thought process in developing them . All simulation files would be provided as part of this project.

Timeline: 3 weeks to complete the final report.

Ideal candidate would have at least a bachelor degree in a relevant area (e.g., physics, engineering), familiar with Matlab coding and ideally Focus or Field II. Knowledge in basic wave theory is preferred.

We assume the winner has Matlab with signal processing toolbox installed on their machine. Focus and Field II are free add ons.

We would provide basic theory overview, detailed requirements and a basic example for the first simulation which would need refinement to reach the desired outcome.
