Derive Composite Statistical Distribution

Let x and y be normally distributed random variables, each with given mean and variance. Your task will be to derive the statistical distribution and some statistical parameters of z=min{x,y} from the CDF or PDF of x and y.

The end result shall include:

- Probability density function (PDF) of z in algebraic form, readily applicable in a standard graphing software

- Expected value of z

- Standard deviation or variance of z

- Skewness (third standardized moment) of z

- Kurtosis (fourth standardized moment) of z

- Proofs of the PDF and above listed statistical parameters of z

An approximation using Taylor series or similar is acceptable. Full payment will be made immediately after you sent the report in .pdf format.
