Open World Game Status Math

Hello, I've got a small project I'm reaching out about. I want to start by saying that I don't expect 100% accuracy with this, I'm just looking for a good frame of reference for when I finetune things on my own end. I'm at the part of my game where I need to start putting in the stats for the player/monsters, or how much damage a fireball does, or whatever else. I'm looking for a rough guide to give me something to work with. Finetuning on my own side is easy enough but making up all of the numbers from scratch is a lot harder for me personally.

There's the basic stats:






Damage calculation is pretty straightforward: ATK-DEF = Damage or MATK-MDEF = Damage

There's about 45 monsters, though about 8 are just recolored.

The player levels up and gets 5 stat points a level. There are 5 armor slots and 1 weapon type. There will be 8 sets of armor and 10 weapons.
