I am looking to create a powerpoint for a company that I am going to try to raise money for. My partner and I both have high school age student athletes and realized that there is not a free open source directory out there for student athletes to post on. As a result, we have created Real Deal Recruits ([url removed, login to view]), which is an Open Source Directory for Athletes with strong attention towards SEO, allowing Real Deal Recruits student athlete profiles to rank well within search engine results pages.
We also connect the Athlete profiles to their individual Facebook profiles, as well as, add their profile to Real Deal Recruits Facebook page itself to help build upon both the social nature of this industry, and potential viral activity.
To date, we have over 4,000 completed athlete profiles on the website and are in the process of integrating in the profiles, videos, and pictures of the Athletes from [url removed, login to view], which we recently acquired.
PrepChamps boasted over 70,000 profiles at one time; however, because of the nature of the industry, only a small portion may still be useful for us today; but the branding, previous search ranking for PrepChamp’s content, and domain all prove to be valuable for the growth of RDR.
Our situation is one where we are technically sound, but still unearthing and creating new functionality in an effort to stay current with the way this demographic is communicating today. With search being the number one use of the Internet and thus a usual starting point for most research, we believe that a solid foundation in search is a key differentiater for us.
We need capital to increase our site and to offer more content.
Our process is simpler and easier to initiate for the user than any other website. Moreover, we don't want to necessarily want to own the athlete, but promote ourselves as a complement to their overall recruitment efforts. Of course, secondarily, tying into the social grid is a key element of our focus as well, instantly creating additional assets for both the athlete and Real Deal as a company. This segment is both deeply immersed in social media, but also fickle. We expect to match the real deal content sharing options to popularity of various networks and applications where it makes sense.
The issue(s) that we currently face are both developing a sound advertising revenue model, and a marketing engine capable of getting the online application in front of the eyeballs of students, coaches and recruiters on a massive scale.
We have so many ideas, such as allowing schools to create their own co-branded Real Deal, i.e. ([url removed, login to view]) that could lump all the students from that particular school, by sport, and many other enhanced data-related local and behavioral targeted ideas. Our concept list is long, but again resource limitation is our hurdle.
Our main website is [url removed, login to view] and we are in the process of integrating in [url removed, login to view] and its robust database and offerings into our company.
