The Circle Craft Co-Operative operates a 2,544 sq. ft. retail gallery on Vancouver's Granville Island showcasing the products of its 137 artisan members (see [login to view URL]). Circle Craft comprises the most distinguished makers of hand-crafted ceramics, glass, jewelry, wood, leather, metal, textiles and paper in the Province of British Columbia. The products of the gallery are sold to the public through consignment.
The Board of Directors of Circle Craft seeks advice from a seasoned and knowledgeable retailing consultant to establish performance parameters and appropriate KPI targets for the operations of its gallery towards achieving a financial turnaround in a post-COVID 19 environment.
The consultant should possess significant experience in undertaking retail store operations in a major Canadian market catering to personal shopping, gifting and tourism-related customers. A thorough understanding of advertising, merchandising, inventory and MIS principles, a record of successful financial accountability, as well as a background in creating an electronic retailing platform would be highly desired.
