Jetty Marine Construction Engineer

This assignment centres on a new jetty and its associated pile-foundation works for a marine terminal just outside Dhaka. I need a civil engineer who already has hands-on experience with exactly these two structure types—jetty sub structure and pile foundations having experience —and who can take full ownership of both design and site execution. Scope of work • Lead the detailed design, drawings and calculations, aligning every element with PIANC recommendations and the relevant Euro-codes. • Produce a complete set of technical documents—BOQ, BBS, method statements and material submittals—ready for contractor tendering and later construction. • Set up and manage the site execution plan, scheduling in MS Project and coordinating daily with the local EPC contractor to keep progress and quality on track. • Supervise installation of steel tubular piles, precast elements and cast-in-situ concrete, ensuring materials and workmanship meet international marine-grade specifications. • Liaise with the Owner’s Engineer for design approvals and respond to RFIs throughout construction. Toolset You will need strong, confident command of AutoCAD for all drawings, STAAD Pro (or equivalent structural analysis software) for verification, and MS Project for scheduling and reporting. Deliverables & acceptance 1. Signed-off IFC drawings in DWG and PDF formats. 2. Calculation package stamped by a chartered/PE engineer. 3. Comprehensive BOQ and BBS spreadsheets. 4. Weekly progress schedule and a final completion report summarising design compliance, site test results and as-built deviations (if any). Logistics The contract runs on-site in Dhaka. Relocation assistance is available for qualified professionals coming from India, UAE, China, Indonesia, Malaysia, Philippine or Thailand. I am offering a monthly remuneration in USD 1,200–2,000 range, commensurate with proven marine-structure experience and the ability to deliver the full scope above.
