Hi there This will be fixed when retrieval is grounded by the right embeddings and metadata filters, and the voice layer uses reliable turn taking with strict template output enforcement. Typical pitfalls are ingestion and query embedding mismatch, weak chunking or missing metadata, bad topK rerank settings, Vapi interruption events not wired, silence timers too aggressive, and templates drifting under retries. First I will reproduce the bad queries end to end, log retrieval scores and the exact chunks selected, verify the embedding model used at ingest versus query, then trace Vapi call events with timestamps and tune barge in, silence timeout, and retry state. Which vector DB and embedding model are you using, and did the corpus get re embedded after any model change? Which Vapi provider config is active for interruption and silence detection, and how is your approved clinical script template validated today, JSON schema or regex? I have debugged Python RAG systems with LangChain style pipelines and voice agents where barge in, retries, and structured outputs must stay deterministic and audit safe.
