I have a proof-of-concept in mind that will let me switch household appliances on and off from a distance using LoRa and an ESP32. The focus is purely remote control—no fancy scheduling or parameter tweaking for now—so reliability, range and low-latency switching are the priorities. I already work with the Arduino IDE and PlatformIO, but I need someone who has hands-on experience pairing ESP32 boards with the right LoRa transceiver (SX1278, RFM95, or any module you know performs well). You’ll guide the hardware choices, write the firmware, and make sure the receiver node triggers a solid-state relay (or a simple LED during testing) whenever the transmitter sends an ON/OFF command. Deliverables: • Schematic or wiring diagram for both transmitter and receiver nodes • Well-commented ESP32 firmware for each side, compiling in Arduino IDE • Brief range and power-consumption test results, plus any tuning tips • Quick setup notes so I can reproduce the build on my bench If a demo video or live walkthrough fits into your normal workflow, that would be a bonus, but the must-haves are the diagrams, code and clear replication steps.

Hello! I am an Electronics Engineer with extensive experience in ESP32 and LoRa integration. I can help you build this proof-of-concept focusing on what you need most: Range and Reliability. My Technical Proposal: Hardware Guidance: For a home environment, I recommend the SX1278 (Ra-02) or the RFM95W. I will provide the exact wiring diagram to ensure signal integrity and avoid common power issues with the ESP32's 3.3V rail. Robust Firmware: I will develop the code in PlatformIO (or Arduino IDE) using a non-blocking approach. To ensure the "Reliability" you mentioned, I will implement a simple ACK (Acknowledgement) handshake: The transmitter only confirms the "ON" status once the receiver sends back a confirmation packet. Low Latency: Optimized LoRa spreading factor (SF) and bandwidth settings to balance range vs. speed for near-instant switching. Safety: Advice on the Solid State Relay (SSR) circuit, including flyback protection or optoisolation if needed. Deliverables: Clean, commented source code (C++). Schematic/Wiring diagram in PDF. Component list (BOM) for the best price/performance. I am ready to start immediately and help you get this prototype running perfectly. Let's discuss your preferred LoRa frequency (433MHz or 868/915MHz) based on your location! Best regards, Luis Alberto Salas Ortiz

Hi, Interesting project, I’ve worked with ESP32-based IoT and wireless communication systems, including relay control, low-latency device switching, and reliable embedded communication architectures. One thing I wanted to ask before finalizing the communication approach is: • What approximate range are you targeting? • Indoor or outdoor usage? • Any walls/floors between nodes? I ask because, depending on the actual range requirement, ESP-NOW might also be worth considering alongside LoRa. In many cases, ESP-NOW can provide: • lower latency • simpler architecture • fast peer-to-peer communication • surprisingly good range with proper antennas Whereas LoRa becomes more beneficial for very long-distance or low-power deployments. That said, if LoRa is preferred, I can help with: • selecting suitable LoRa modules (SX1278/RFM95 etc.) • ESP32 transmitter/receiver firmware • relay/SSR interfacing • communication reliability and packet handling • wiring diagrams and replication documentation • tuning for range and stability I also like approaching projects from a practical product perspective rather than just making the prototype “work,” so I usually suggest improvements or optimizations wherever useful. Would love to know more about the expected operating environment and range requirements. Regards, Fahad Khan +91 9619310901

Hi, there. What is the remote control range you are looking for? I previously worked on a project to wirelessly turn a led on and off by connecting REYAX RYLR998 LoRa modules (typically with a 10-meter transmission range) to an ESP8266 (controller) and an Arduino (receiver). I plan to utilize this experience for your project. If you are interested, please contact me. I will send you the project I worked on.
