Help scan my server for viruses/malware, help get my IP address off a blacklist

Hi there :) Well I know the feeling when your server is infected with viruses/malware. It's awful. We'll have to scan your server for various rootkits etc. As far as spamming is concerned, your email accounts' credentials will have to be checked and also your email server has to be checked if it's working as an open relay or not. I will remove your IP from the blacklists and setup reverse DNS for your IP :) Let me know Kashif

Hi, Your infections by virus and/or malware are likely caused by insecure services or firewall rules. Thus I'd start by fixing those before routine scanning, so you can be reasonably sure they won't reappear. A public ip makes you a target and you should consider having someone manage the server security and updates to prevent things like this in future. I'd be happy to discuss doing that for you. The spoofed email addresses can be done without access to your server by manipulating the actual email envelope, and are not likely the cause of blacklisting. Blacklisting would most likely be because the malware on your server is sending out tons of spammy emails. That should be fixed with the above. Removing from blacklists requires a request to operators of the list and that your ip is not sending spam. Fixed with number one item. Resolving the reverse dns entry is a task for your service provider, but I can make the request to them in a language they will understand and hopefully they will assist you.
