I have an application running on an old v-server. I'd like to switch the application to Google Cloud Services (GCS).
I use a SSH2 function to access external sFTP/FTP folders to transfer files, called via PHP. The process works fine on the old server, but I'm encountering an issue on the new GCS server.
I currently have a web application running on an VServer hosted
OS : Ubuntu 14.04.5 LTS
PLESK : 14.04.5 LTS
PHP : 5.5.9 by OS vendor, run PHP as FPM served by Apache
PHPINFO : [login to view URL]
I'm looking to move the application to a vServer running within Google Cloud Services.
OS : Ubuntu 18.04.3 LTS
PLESK : 18.0.20
PHP : 7.3.11 run PHP as FPM application served by Apache*
PHPINFO : [login to view URL]
*I've have assigned the above PHP version to the domain
SSH2 appears to be installed and up to date on the new server.
SSH2 is selected within the PLESK interface
The majority of the applications functions work.
However, we have a process where we send and receive flat files via FTP & sFTP and utilises the SSH2 function.
I’ve deployed a test file with the following
die('Function ssh2_connect not found, you cannot use ssh2 here');”
The reads false and kills the process.
SSH2 isn’t working for PHP7.1, 7.2 or 7.3
If I change the PHP version for the domain ([login to view URL]) to :
'7.0.33 by OS Vendor, run PHP as FPM application served by Apache'
and run [login to view URL]
I appears that SSH2 is now loaded.
However, when I run a test file I see the following error message
Test file address : [login to view URL]
(works without errors on the old vServer - please see [login to view URL])
I disabled the Firewall, but the problem remained.
Here is the sample code which is producing the 503 error:
$connection = ssh2_connect('[login to view URL]', 22);
ssh2_auth_password($connection, 'username', 'password');
$sftp = ssh2_sftp($connection);
$stream = fopen('[login to view URL]://' . intval($sftp) . '/path/to/file', 'r');
The configured file for the above can be found at [login to view URL]
I'm looking for someone to resolve the SSH2 issue on the new Google Cloud Server so that I can transfer files via sFTP.
Please note that the is running with with PLESK.
I understand the problem and will probably be able to help, can you please send me a message so that I can get more information from you? Thanks!
