About a year ago, our company was looking for an investor, a man approached us and I believe we were scammed.
From what he mentioned a few times I understood he was in an ongoing court case regarding PayPal/online fraud with a website he owned or owns currently.
He had us put up a website in a rush and add certain PayPal buttons with certain amounts of bulk quantities, people could purchase. (I should mention we were selling natural health products online.) One night we had 4 orders come through of large quantities. At the point it did seem some what suspicious as our website was not even 3 months old and we have had no SEO done. This "partner" who was suppose to invest reassured us that everything was okay and legit as he had spoken to these so-called buyers.
When we had the money in PayPal he pressured us into transferring the money to our bank account and them to transfer it to his account before he would hand the product over to these people. ( I should mention that these people were supposedly located outside of our country and we never heard from them again.
A few days after the money was transferred PayPal then informed us the transactions that had taken place were fraudulent.
When we told this "Partner" that PayPal wants the money back he just replied "Don't worry they have insurance for that kind of thing and also I don't have the money any more." So automatically the problem is now ours.
I need the IP address from PayPal so that I can compare to his and then take him to court. I need a solution because I can't afford to pay all the money that PayPal is keeping us responsible for. We are still a young company with a lot to offer.
If you know you can get this problem sorted out with PayPal, please inbox me. I don't want you to waste your bids.
Also we have approached a lawyer in our country to sort it out but he is a totally useless as he no clue regarding technology. PayPal has stated we need an attorney to sort this out.
