Daily reports — should they stay editable later or locked after submit? Photos — only attach, or need drawing/marking on image also? Tasks — only for your staff login, or different roles needed? I went through your description carefully. I’ve worked on similar reporting / field apps before where staff upload photos, notes, daily logs from site. Hi, this is Ambar Shome, I work independently but also run Shome & Associates for larger projects. Android app can be done in Flutter so one codebase, easier to maintain later. For offline use, data should save in local storage first, then sync when signal comes back. This is important, otherwise reports fail in low network areas. Photos better to store on device first, then upload in background. We should also keep small preview copy so app stays fast. Daily report form can auto-fill last values to save typing. Usually site staff prefer minimum typing. Task updates can use Firebase notifications, but also keep status inside app so nothing missed. Login with roles is possible (admin / engineer / viewer). Cloud storage via Firebase or Supabase both fine. Also better to keep simple sync status icon so staff know if data uploaded or not. Should the app support tablet screens also — Yes or No?
