Sortable by Jquery Project

We need a double column list leveraging the sortable connected lists (here is the link: [login to view URL]).
The list will be formatted at the server level by populating the left side with bricks (entries) that have a relative rank that can start with any number (think pages in a book) and the right list will have no ordinal rank (think additional pages not in the book yet). When a new brick is added to the left column, the rank of all below it should move down one and the brick should be now ranked where it was placed. Like this

When the brick is inserted into the left column, the ranks of all bricks on the left column, and their IDs, must be sent to the server.
The exact opposite should happen when the brick is removed. Like this:

In this case, the server should receive the updated rankings of all bricks along with their ids on the left column and notice that the six brick was removed as well as its id.
There also must be a button to create another brick on the right hand side. On click, the user must be prompted to provide a title for the brick, i.e., "Tomatoes." Once the user has given the title, the server should be informed of the new brick's title and await (and then assign) the unique id that the server sends back.
Finally, bricks must be deletable. On delete, the server must be informed of the bricks id. Further, if the brick is on the left, the left side's rankings must be updated just like in the instance that a brick moves right.
All system calls must be in jquery via ajax. No styling is needed.
