I have a marine Autopilot that I would like to control with an arduino. A similar project exists open source, so much of the code is complete. However, there are some specific challenges with this project, such as using a proprietary protocol called ‘SeaTalk’, to send commands to the AutoPilot. I have links to resources that make this all possible, but I need someone to code it together.
GPS information will come from a cellular networked raspberry pi, into arduino for processing. Based on that information, the arduino will send commands to the autopilot over the ‘Seatalk’ protocol. With these commands, the autopilot will steer left and right to hold a correct course.
The open source code related to this project (but slightly different) is attached.
