I want a fairly straightforward layout but it must suit all browsers in various sizes, from 300px upwards.
Layout must be suitable for for resizing, which my be inappropriate for such a big-scale difference in browser size so I think that it would be best if there were actually several similar layouts, contained in diferent css files (eg [url removed, login to view] / [url removed, login to view] / etc), with the most suitable css file being selected when the page loads.
I want the layout to resize if the visitor changes their browser window size, and (if necessary) change to a more suitable layout, such as if the user reduces their window size from 1280px to 600px.
It is your role to provide the right solution that works in all browsers, sizes, landscape & portrait, include mobile displays.
Header (to include ul navigation)
Statusbar (to include logo [left] + login status [right])
Content1 (to inlude into left [fluid] and right [fixed 300px])
Content2 (to include boxes each containing linked image + text)
Statubar is to overlap Header & Content1 so higher z-index.
Login status to be permitted to overlap Logo if visitor's username is long so maybe separate divs (different z-index) for Logo & Login status?
Footer is to be fixed at bottom of the page unless it is pushed down by content.
Content1/right should not display if window width reduces to less than a particular level (example 700px).
Set html - overflow-y: to scroll for larger browsers I think, but I'm unsure about what happens with ipad/android/mobile - you need to know.
I like the way that resizing occurs on [url removed, login to view] when it is resized, and the good use of hover.
I also like the way that the header changes colour on [url removed, login to view] when it loads.
I don't want you to simply copy css-tricks because that would be a breach of copyright.
I am happy if css-tricks inspires you to create something similar.
In addition to the layout, the stylesheet will need to be selected when the page loads/resizes as a stylesheet for 300px will obviously not be appropriate for a 1280px display, so you should also create [url removed, login to view] / [url removed, login to view] / etc in order to display that the project works properly.
The project is for a local sport club's website. It is a simple project so don't go crazy and waste your time bidding a lot of money - money is tight everywhere ! All copyright is to become the property of the buyer when the project is projected so don't steal/re-use the layout.
I am happy to receive bids just for the layout (including basic stylesheets) or for you to provide colour scheme.
You should indicate whether your bid is just for the layout or to include the full colour scheme, and provide examples of your work.
Do not hesitate to ask if clarification required for bidding.
Thank you for reading, nd good luck with your bid.
