This project will require 2 Distributions and a mini web browser.
Distribution 1-
A very basic Linux Distribution that will have three basic icons/ programs. It needs an easy to use wifi/network configuration utility, a basic web browser that supports flash/java, and a configuration utility for the display settings and clock functions. The web browser will need to be renamed & icon-ed. When it opens it will need to automatically load a swf file loaded into the system. This should be in full screen mode without loading bars, buttons, etc... these functions should also be disabled. The flash program will have all of the necessary navigation tools they need.
Distribution 2-
Very Similar to Distribution 1, but the browser will need to access an a secure IP (for a remote desktop connection), plus the browser needs the ability to play audio and video files.
Both distributions will need to also configure themselves to boot on compact flash cards and USB drives. They will need to boot in "silent mode", have a basic screen saver, and be compatible with the "Asus Eee PC 2G", [login to view URL], and the [login to view URL] (does not have floating point support)
Mini Web Browser:
This will be loaded on USB drivers to access the same system as Distribution 2. It must be compatible with apple and windows machines, allowing users to remotely access their desktop.
I don't care if you use webconverger as the basic core, but I still need the function for users to configure their wifi settings. Webconverger is also very difficult to install on a self booting compact flash card... (as im still trying to get it working). This needs to be made easy for me. I need the ability to quickly duplicate and launch this system to several machines. I like the concept of auto updating and obtaining its background from my website, plus the screen resolution needs to be easily switchable between 800x600 or 1024x768 to work on both of my platforms.
If my budget is too small, please let me know what I should change it to.
