I am looking for someone with experience developing web pages with Google Maps API code and geocoding services and integrating GPS Data into these pages. I have recently setup a social network for All Terrain Vehicle enthusiasts and would like to introduce a section where members can upload data directly from their GPS unit and/or manually input information on the trail. Members should also be able to upload images and videos that are attached to the relevant trail. I would like to allow members to be able to search the website by town/postcode name, and get results in a list in order of route distance. When the route is selected the map should move to that route. The user should then have the options to download the GPS data if required. I am based in the US in the Washington, DC metro region, though am more than happy to work with anyone world wide.

This can be implementable by writing a new plugin for your web browser. Say it we will use internet explorer or firefox, then I will write an addon which will handle: - gps reading - parse gps data and do upload to your server using web service or http post - refresh the google map interface using ajax for making sure the new uploaded data displayed. - manage the route or waypoints - etc. Let me know if this method is better for you, and then I could arrange a very fast completion.
