We are a group of financial traders, looking for somebody with the skills below to help us extract and analyse data from 2 websites.
We do a lot of algorithmic trading, so if you have experience in the markets then even better - if not, this will be a good chance to learn and get paid.
Small budget for this, and we need code developed each week - please let us also know your availability.
Task: Gather a price (string of numbers) from 2 websites, run the price through a formula, if formula returns certain result then place bets on each site.
Site 1: [url removed, login to view] (Flash)
• Open site 1, if necessary click through the welcome bonus page, then click through to ‘financials’ (button is at the top middle)
• During business hours (0900 - 1700 GMT), market prices will be shown here. Otherwise it displays ‘Betting is currently closed’.
• During market hours, please click on any price (table in the middle of the page), i.e. 4/1 or 3.2 - this will select the bet, and notice that the ‘Bet Slip’ updates on the right hand side of the page. This price is the data we need to capture. If the price is validated by our formula, we want to click the ‘Place Bet’ button (underneath Bet Slip)
Site 2: [url removed, login to view] (Java)
• Open site 2, take a look at the ‘Live Prices’ panel on the middle right hand side – we need the price of one of these instruments. The real price we need is only available once you log in to the platform, which you can’t access because it contains private information (sign up if you want, it's free), but the flash stream is essentially the same. If you are able to grab any price from the main page (bid/offer etc), then we can explore how to actually place the trade. It may be possible to confirm the bet by pointing the code at the X and Y screen coordinates?
As mentioned, the prices have to be at certain levels on both platforms for us to place both bets. The formula is fairly simple, and exists on a spreadsheet – so if you are able to dump the information initially, then we can go from there.
Please contact me with ANY questions. I am based in London, currently in Cyprus so able to check messages every evening.
We will need code developed regularly, as the markets are ever changing.
