We operate an existing production B2B commerce platform built as a responsive React/PWA web application. The core application, backend, authentication, business logic, database, and security architecture are already implemented and operating. We are now looking for an experienced mobile developer to prepare the existing application for release on: Apple App Store Google Play Store This is not a greenfield app-development project and not a redesign project. The primary goal is to convert an already-working production web application into stable, maintainable iOS and Android apps using Capacitor, and to complete the store-release process. We are based in the Washington, DC area and are interested in building a long-term working relationship with the developer who takes on this project. For easier communication and ongoing collaboration, we prefer candidates located in the U.S. Eastern or Central time zones, particularly on the East Coast or in the Midwest. This is a preference rather than an absolute requirement, but availability during U.S. Eastern business hours will be important. Current Project Status The platform already includes: Production web application Responsive desktop and mobile UI Existing PWA architecture React / TypeScript frontend Supabase backend and authentication Role-based user authority Business onboarding workflows Product and catalog management Ordering and approval workflows Production database and security controls Email infrastructure Notification architecture currently being finalized Existing production source code Stable backend environment The core business architecture is already established. Scope of Work The developer will be responsible for: Review the existing application for mobile-native compatibility. Configure and stabilize Capacitor for iOS and Android. Create and maintain native iOS and Android projects. Configure: Bundle ID / Package ID iOS signing and provisioning profiles Android signing keys App icons Splash screens Deep links / universal links if required Native permissions Verify authentication and session persistence inside the native WebView. Verify mobile behavior for: Camera Photo library File uploads External links Downloads Browser handoffs Prepare the app architecture for future native push notifications. Test on real iOS and Android devices. Prepare: TestFlight builds Google Play Internal Testing builds Resolve App Store and Google Play submission issues. Assist with final App Store and Google Play release. Document the complete build and release process so future releases can be performed without depending on the Freelancer. Important Project Boundary The developer must not independently redesign or rewrite core business logic. Do not modify the following without explicit approval: Database schema RLS policies Authentication authority User roles Ordering authority Product architecture Payment logic Backend security functions Core business workflows If a mobile issue appears to require a backend or architectural change, the developer should document the issue and report it first. Do not make major architectural changes without approval. What We Are Looking For Strong candidates should have proven experience with: Capacitor React TypeScript Xcode Android Studio Apple App Store submission Google Play submission Authentication inside Capacitor apps Session persistence Deep linking Native permissions Mobile debugging Push notification architecture Supabase experience is strongly preferred. Experience converting an existing production React/PWA application into iOS and Android apps is especially valuable. We are especially interested in developers who can support the project beyond the initial release and assist with future mobile updates, store submissions, and mobile-specific technical issues. Important Note About AI-Assisted Development This project has been developed extensively with AI-assisted development. We are not looking for someone who simply generates more code with AI. We need a developer who can independently: Review existing architecture Identify mobile-specific risks Evaluate AI-generated code Improve implementation quality where necessary Detect security or maintainability issues Explain the reasoning behind technical decisions The ideal candidate should be comfortable working with an existing AI-assisted codebase while applying strong professional engineering judgment. Please Include the Following in Your Proposal Show 1–3 iOS or Android apps you personally released using Capacitor or a similar hybrid framework. Explain your exact role in those releases. Have you converted an existing production React/PWA application into native iOS and Android apps? What are the most common problems you expect when moving an existing web application into Capacitor? How would you handle authentication and session persistence inside a Capacitor application? How would you structure the mobile application so most future business changes do not require frequent App Store or Google Play updates? If you discover that a mobile issue appears to require changes to backend business logic, database security, or authentication authority, what would you do? Describe one example where AI-generated code technically worked, but you improved or corrected it. What did you change, and why? Where are you located, and what time zone do you normally work in? Are you interested in an ongoing working relationship after the initial App Store and Google Play release? Engagement Structure We prefer to begin with a short paid technical assessment before committing to the full project. Possible milestones: Technical assessment and mobile compatibility review Capacitor setup and architecture iOS / TestFlight build Android / Play Internal Testing build Store submission and release Final documentation and handoff If the initial project goes well, we are interested in continuing the relationship for future mobile releases, maintenance, store submission support, and mobile-specific development. We are looking for someone who can work carefully within an existing production system, communicate technical risks clearly, and take ownership of the mobile release process.

Hi — Elias here from Miami. I see you’re looking to release a Capacitor app for your existing B2B commerce platform. Ensuring a smooth transition from web to mobile is crucial for maintaining user experience and functionality. What usually matters most here is the integration between your current React/PWA setup and the Capacitor environment. A common issue in systems like this is managing state across platforms and ensuring that API calls perform reliably. The tricky part is handling permissions and local storage, which can impact performance. My approach would focus on structuring the app to ensure responsiveness and performance parity with the web version. I’d prioritize testing across devices to catch platform-specific issues early, ensuring a solid user experience and paving the way for future expansions. I have experience with similar projects, including mobile integrations for e-commerce platforms, which involved these challenges. A few questions to better understand the scope: Q1 – What specific functionalities from the web app are critical for the mobile version? Q2 – Are there any particular integrations with third-party services to address? Q3 – What are your expectations regarding user roles and permissions? Happy to discuss details and suggest the best technical approach. Looking forward to hearing from you.

Dear Client, I am an experienced full-stack developer with over 10 years in web and mobile app development, including hybrid frameworks and extensive work with React, TypeScript, and mobile app releases. I understand your requirement to convert a stable React/PWA production platform into robust iOS and Android apps using Capacitor, focusing on maintaining existing backend and business logic integrity. I have handled multiple projects involving Capacitor and similar hybrid frameworks, managing iOS and Android build pipelines, configuring signing profiles, bundle identifiers, and handling native permissions. I am proficient with Xcode, Android Studio, and the release processes for both Apple App Store and Google Play. My work rigorously emphasizes secure session persistence within native WebViews, deep linking, and preparing apps for future native functionalities like push notifications. In converting web apps to native, common challenges include native plugin integration, authentication within WebView context, handling file and camera permissions, and maintaining app stability without backend changes—all of which I address by detailed testing and close coordination with backend teams to document any required approvals. I prioritize a modular architecture that minimizes the need for frequent store submissions, fostering easier updates via server-driven UI or feature toggles.

I can do this Job! You're building Capacitor App Store Release Expert, where the real delivery risk is usually in the workflow details, not just the feature list. The strongest positioning is showing we understand the delivery risk hiding behind the brief, not just the feature list. Key scope I would cover: Mobile App Development implementation risks and acceptance criteria; iPhone integration points and edge cases. If helpful, I can outline the first milestone around the riskiest part of the build before we start. Quick question: What part of this build has caused the most delivery risk so far: architecture, integrations, or product clarity? Also, if we align on the core scope first, would you prefer the first milestone to focus on a stable MVP foundation or on feature breadth? Best, Dr. Syafiq

Hi, I can help prepare the existing React/PWA platform for Capacitor-based iOS and Android releases while keeping the established backend, authentication, database, security, and business workflows untouched. I’d approach the work in stages, starting with the paid technical assessment to identify WebView compatibility issues, authentication/session persistence risks, native permissions, deep links, file uploads, external links, and device-specific behavior. From there, I can handle the Capacitor configuration, Xcode and Android projects, TestFlight and Play Internal Testing builds, store submission issues, and final release documentation. For authentication, I’d preserve the existing session model and verify token/session persistence carefully within the Capacitor environment rather than introducing unnecessary changes to Supabase or backend authority. Any backend or security change that appears necessary would be documented and raised for approval first. I’m also comfortable reviewing AI-assisted code critically, focusing on correctness, security, maintainability, and long-term release stability. Best, Ivane

★★★ Capacitor SPECIALIST ★★★ Hi, For converting your existing production web application into stable iOS and Android apps, I noticed the importance of maintaining the core business logic while ensuring mobile-native compatibility. This requires a careful review of the existing architecture to identify mobile-specific risks. Would you prefer a focus on optimizing session persistence or enhancing deep linking capabilities? My approach will be to configure and stabilize Capacitor for both platforms, ensuring that all native functionalities are thoroughly tested on real devices. I'll deliver a complete documentation of the build and release process for future reference. To get started, I will need access to the existing source code and any relevant documentation regarding the current architecture. Thanks!

Your existing React/TypeScript PWA and Supabase architecture are a strong starting point for a focused Capacitor release, not a rewrite. I’ll begin with the paid compatibility assessment, review the current AI-assisted code, and document risks before changing anything related to RLS, roles, authentication, ordering, or other protected business logic. I’ll configure and stabilize the iOS and Android projects, bundle/package identifiers, signing, icons, splash screens, permissions, deep links, and native handling for camera, photo library, uploads, downloads, and browser handoffs. I’ll specifically test Supabase authentication and session persistence across launches, refreshes, and WebView navigation on real devices. I’ll then produce TestFlight and Google Play Internal Testing builds, resolve submission issues, and provide repeatable release documentation. Push notification hooks can be structured now while keeping most future business changes in the web layer, minimizing store updates. I personally built and released SwiftKhata, a cross-platform POS and inventory product, taking its iOS app through Apple approval; I also work with React Native, Flutter, Swift, and native Android tooling. In one live trading platform, AI-generated integration technically worked but froze charts; I corrected it by adding caching, API credit budgets, throttling, and last-good-price fallback. Hello Valuable Client, We can approach the release as a controlled migration of your existing React/PWA into maintainable iOS and Android apps using Capacitor, without altering your core business architecture. • Audit the existing React/TypeScript PWA for Capacitor and mobile compatibility. • Configure and stabilize the iOS and Android native projects. • Verify Supabase authentication, session persistence, roles and WebView behavior. • Configure app identifiers, signing, icons, splash screens, permissions and deep links. • Test camera, photo library, uploads, downloads, external links and browser handoffs. • Prepare the architecture for future native push notifications while keeping business changes primarily on the existing backend. • Test thoroughly on real iOS and Android devices. • Generate TestFlight and Google Play Internal Testing builds and resolve release issues. • Document the complete build, signing and store-release process for future updates. • Report any backend/security/architecture issue before making changes. We prefer starting with the proposed technical assessment so compatibility risks can be identified before full implementation. Best regards, CnEL India

Hi, I am Adeel. I shipped ComicBase, a mobile app built in one codebase and released on both the Apple App Store and Google Play, so I know the review process and signing setup on both platforms well. For a React and TypeScript web app moving into Capacitor, the usual friction points are session persistence in the native WebView, file uploads and camera access, and universal links, all fixable without touching your backend or Supabase auth logic. I would keep business logic behind your existing APIs and structure the native shell so most future changes ship as web updates, not store releases, which keeps you out of review queues. If a mobile issue looked like it needed backend or auth changes, I would document it and flag it before touching anything. I am in Karachi but work Eastern hours regularly with US clients, and I am glad to start with the paid assessment milestone. Can you share whether push notifications are required for the initial release or a later phase?

Hi, I understand the goal: stabilize and release a live React/PWA into iOS and Android using Capacitor, without altering core business logic. I've done Capacitor-based releases for production PWAs, including session persistence, deep linking, push permissions, and careful handling of native WebView boundaries. I’d start by validating the current web flows inside the native WebView, then configure the shells (bundle IDs, signing, icons, splash) and set up TestFlight and Play Internal Testing for early feedback. One technical risk is ensuring authentication remains seamless when moving between web and native contexts, especially with token refresh and SSO. What should happen if a user session expires in the background and then reopens the app? What edge cases exist for offline caching, file uploads, and external link handling in the native WebView? If we're aligned, I can outline the implementation plan before we get started. Best regards, Brandon

hello, two things sink Capacitor wraps of an already working PWA, and neither is in the configuration list. the first is session persistence. Supabase keeps its session in localStorage by default, and inside WKWebView that storage is evictable, so users get silently signed out days later with no pattern anyone can reproduce. the fix is swapping the auth storage adapter to native Preferences or the keychain, and routing any magic link or OAuth return through a universal link or custom scheme rather than a browser handoff that drops the session on the way back. the second is Apple guideline 4.2. a web view with no native behaviour gets rejected as a repackaged website, and that rejection arrives after all the signing and provisioning work is done. so camera, file handling and the push groundwork are not just features, they are what makes the submission survivable. related trap, if users can create accounts in the app, Apple requires in app account deletion under 5.1.1, and Play wants a deletion URL in the data safety form. i would take the review pass first and document findings before touching anything, given your boundaries. can users self register in the app, or are accounts created by your team? is the Apple Developer org enrolment already done, with the D-U-N-S sorted? have a nice day.
