Quickbooks API Expert

Have a simple App written in Node js that needs a few modifications. The App runs continually on a preset interval, checking for new data to push and flagging with a success or error status.
Current App does the following
1. Downloads Quickbooks Vendor/Customer to local table
2. Downloads all Items to local table
3. Pushes Invoices to Quickbooks
4. Pushes Purchase Orders to Quickbooks
5. Creates new items if required
What's needed
1. Quickbook currently drops the connection and it needs to be manually re-authenticated. The App needs to be changed to automatically re-authenticate so the connection isn't dropped
2. When the connection is lost the App should provide some indication that the connection has been lost
