Manage Incoming and Outgoing Communication
Celebrity executive assistants make and receive phone calls, send emails, write letters, post social media updates on behalf of their master. They play the extremely important role of “gatekeeper” and tightly control who gets access to their celebrity boss, and regularly advise their boss on new ways grow the celebrity's public reputation.
Oversee Scheduling and Calendar Appointments
Making sure their famous employer’s schedule is organized is a key task for celebrity executive assistants. They make appropriate appointments with other media agents, designers, stylists, celebrities, and even family members. Celebrity executive assistants also send critical appointment reminders to make sure their employer is on-schedule.
Event Planning and Coordination
Coordinating logistics for a variety of scenarios such as travel, press appearances, rehearsals, fittings, parties, family vacations is common for the can-do celebrity executive assistants. Their employers may also ask them to execute personal and business events that include other hired staff.
Handle Client Representation
Celebrity executive assistants are the “voice” of their public figure clients and must use persuasiveness to meet their boss’s needs. They directly represent their employer's interests with public fanbase, publicists, news reporters, industry agents, content directors, financial professionals, lawyers, and business managers, on the phone and in person.
Communication skills – celebrity executive assistants are specialists in written and verbal interaction. A major part of their job includes communication and coordinating with various individuals that influence or play a part in their employer’s celebrity career
Administration skills – administrative skills are a must for celebrity personal assistants, who are required to manage their boss’s calendar and quickly shift priorities as needed
Research skills – celebrity personal assistants are often asked to research and locate contact information, rare gifts, and more. Successful assistants know how to track down hard to find information
Computer skills – must-have computer skills for celebrity personal assistants include the ability to set up and maintain email accounts, digital calendars, and more
Event planning – coordinating events, parties, and celebrity gatherings are common requests that celebrity personal assistants receive
Interpersonal skills – celebrity personality assistants are constantly interacting with people, including their employer, other staff, potential publicists, managers, and more

Celebrity Executive Assistant Education and Training
There is no minimum educational requirement to become a celebrity executive assistant. However, a college degree or a background in sales, communications, or public relations can be helpful. Most employers do not provide on-the-job training and expect assistants to be able to learn quickly on their own.
