We are seeking an experienced Furniture Product Designer to join our collaborative team and play a pivotal role in shaping the future of our B2B marketplace. As a key contributor, you will set new product standards, design furniture products that resonate with everyday consumers across the U.S., and provide valuable insights to educate our team on best practices, industry standards, and the latest trends.
Key Responsibilities:
- Collaborate with our Visual Merchandising Manager and 1P product development team to conceptualize and curate furniture products in various categories, including bedroom, dining, living, and more.
- Develop detailed sketch-ups, spec sheets, and essential documentation to guide products from initial prototype to mass production stage.
- Utilize your expertise to create product concepts that align with market trends and cater to diverse customer preferences.
Qualifications:
- Previous experience in furniture product design, with a focus on creating retail-ready products for brick & mortar retailers, resulting in a quantifiable results such as increased sales.
- Familiarity with working alongside overseas manufacturers, including experience in quality control processes, sourcing materials, and managing production timelines.
- Excellent communication and collaboration skills to work effectively with cross-functional teams and external partners.
- Familiarity with DFM (Design for Manufacturing), DFT (Design for Testing), and DF (Design for Assembly) concepts.
- Provide detailed technical drawings and specifications to ensure accurate construction of furniture designs.
