a small institute that specializes in Information Technology and Business Courses requires a computer network to be installed into its premises. it has two campus one campus is 500 kilometers away and requires a wireless LAN within its campus; it has 3LAbs with 20PCs each and a printer and it is required that one of the labs has video conferencing facilities.
the other campus has three buildings with a road between them which have to be connected with a bandwidth no less than 10 Mbps and there should be no cables running over or under the road to connect these buildings.
in building A there are 2 floors where the ground floor has 5labs each having 20PCs and a printer; 2 of these labs should have powerful PCs that can be used for multimedia applications such as Autodesk Maya, AC3D and 3D Canvas and 1 of these 2 labs should have Linux operating [url removed, login to view] the same floor there is also the server room which has 2servers for lecturer department and 1 for the accounting department and 4PCs. the 1st floor has 6rooms for the lecturers who are 28 in total, a room for printers, a room for the 4 secretaries and another for the accountants who are also 4. in each floor the rooms are arranged in L shapes.
building B has a boardroom which has to have videoconferencing facilities for the management who have 3offices in the building and these rooms in a L shape. and building C has 6 rooms arranged in a star/circle shape. building A is expected to have a high data-rate connection to both building B and C and all communications between buildings must have secure from eavesdropping.
the institute will require a web server to accommodate its new website for student's online registration, provide specifications for the web server hardware and ensure that the computer can cope with the expected level of traffic which is 15000 visitors per day.
all staff members in the campuses will need access to a mail server, an intranet server, an application server and network storage. they all will require a new PC complete with a suitable office environment operating system and access to a networked printer.
connectivity between the campuses should be reliable and secure.
traffic levels are 80%/20% internal/external.
please help me with this project i dont understand what i have to do, please show the location of the servers on one of the floor plans, and explain how the appropriate cabling will run. show a physical topology showing location of all the hardware to be used and a logical topology of the entire network showing switches routers and any other networking hardware. please estimate the bandwidth requirement for the network and state the type of Internet connection and data rate that the institution will require.
