I’m running a live Exchange 2010 SP3 server that should be in hybrid mode with Microsoft 365, but the MRS Proxy has stopped responding and my mailbox moves are stalled. Since the problem surfaced, OWA, ECP and ActiveSync won’t even present a login screen—browsers go straight to a 440 Login Timeout. Outlook (MAPI) continues to function, so mail flow must remain untouched while repairs are made. The breakage appeared after a set of configuration tweaks, not after Windows Update, so I suspect something in IIS, virtual directory settings or authentication got out of sync. I have already burned many hours chasing AI-generated fixes and can’t keep circling. I need an Exchange specialist who can: • Restore MRS Proxy so hybrid mailbox migrations resume • Bring OWA, ECP and ActiveSync back online if required for the migration. Acceptance criteria: successful test migration to 365 If you have deep hands-on experience with Exchange 2010 SP3 hybrid deployments, IIS, and troubleshooting HTTP 440/500 issues, let’s move quickly—this is a production box.

Hello, I will troubleshoot and restore your Exchange 2010 SP3 hybrid environment with a focused, production-safe approach that keeps mail flow via Outlook (MAPI) uninterrupted while resolving the broken IIS and hybrid migration components. The first step will be a targeted diagnostic of IIS authentication bindings, virtual directory configurations (OWA, ECP, EWS, ActiveSync), and MRS Proxy health. The HTTP 440 Login Timeout strongly suggests an authentication mismatch or misconfigured forms/Windows auth sequence, likely introduced during recent manual changes. I will validate and correct IIS settings, SSL bindings, and Exchange virtual directory configurations to restore proper endpoint behavior. Next, I will restore and validate MRS Proxy functionality, ensuring EWS connectivity and mailbox replication services are fully operational again. I will also verify hybrid configuration consistency with Microsoft 365 and re-enable mailbox moves while ensuring no disruption to live mail traffic. Once restored, I will perform a controlled test mailbox migration to Microsoft 365 as the acceptance validation step, confirming that hybrid migration, authentication, and service endpoints are fully stable. Thanks, Asif

Hello, I understand this is a live Exchange 2010 SP3 box in hybrid with Microsoft 365, and the MRS Proxy is stalled while MRM/OWA/ECP/ActiveSync login is failing. I’ve navigated similar escalations where IIS, virtual dirs or auth drift caused 440/500s and stalled moves. I bring hands-on, remains-focused Exchange expertise and a calm, methodical approach to restore MRS Proxy, verify hybrid state, and bring OWA/ECP/ActiveSync back online if needed to complete migrations. My plan is to first confirm the IIS configuration, vdirs, and authentication settings align with the hybrid topology; then re-stabilize MRS Proxy, perform targeted mailbox move tests, and finally validate a test migration to 365. I’ll apply minimal change, with rollback points, and provide a concise, production-safe fix path to proceed quickly. Please feel free to contact me so we can discuss more details. I am looking forward to the chance of working together. Best regards, Billy Bryan

Managing a legacy Exchange 2010 SP3 hybrid environment requires a precise touch, especially as Microsoft has deprecated many older protocols. I have successfully navigated numerous "stuck" migrations where the HCW fails due to outdated prerequisites or authentication mismatches. Having recently rescued a similar 2010-to-365 transition for a mid-sized firm, I understand how to stabilize your mail flow and move mailboxes without disrupting the live production environment. My approach starts with analyzing your Hybrid Configuration Wizard logs to identify if the failure is rooted in a lack of TLS 1.2 support—a common blocker for 2010—or a breakdown in Federation Trust. I will verify that your SP3 instance has the necessary Update Rollups for modern authentication and ensure the MRS Proxy is correctly published. I will then re-run the HCW while validating that your public-facing SSL certificates and firewall rules align with Microsoft’s required endpoints. This ensures we resolve the root cause of the synchronization failure rather than applying temporary patches that fail during the actual move-request phase. Are you seeing specific error codes like HCW8064, or is the wizard failing at the 'Configure OAUTH' stage? Also, do your current SSL certificates cover the Autodiscover and Web Services namespaces adequately? I am ready to jump on a discovery call to review your current server health and map out a clear path to completion. Let’s connect to discuss how we can get your migration back on track today.

Hi, I understand the urgency of your situation—especially with a production Exchange 2010 SP3 hybrid environment where mailbox migrations are stalled and client access services (OWA, ECP, ActiveSync) are returning HTTP 440 errors. The fact that Outlook (MAPI) is still functioning indicates that core mail flow and database services are intact, which helps narrow down the issue to IIS, virtual directories, or authentication configuration. ## ? **Key Focus** ✔ Restore MRS Proxy functionality ✔ Bring OWA, ECP, ActiveSync back online ✔ Ensure no impact to existing mail flow ✔ Stabilize environment for successful hybrid migration ## ? **Why Me** * 5+ years in IT infrastructure & enterprise environments * Experience with Exchange environments, IIS, and Microsoft 365 integrations * Strong troubleshooting approach (root cause focused, not trial-and-error) * Clear communication and quick turnaround ## ⚡ **Availability** I understand this is a production issue and can start immediately. I’ll work step-by-step to restore services without disrupting active mail flow. ## ? **Next Step** If you can share: * Current error logs or screenshots * Recent configuration changes (if known) * Access for quick diagnostics I can begin troubleshooting right away and move toward restoring migration capability. Thanks, Yaseen Shaikh
