Jquery Developer to make small script and explain it

I have a slider I'm using called Royalslider. The thumbnail navigation I've made for it I have set up is what I need help with. It's a bunch of thumbnails set up in a ul and when you click on them they change states, when one is clicked it exchanges classes, it gets the active state and all sibling li thumbs get the unactive class. Currently if you click on a thumb it changes states and moves to the correct slide. The problem is when you use the prev/next arrows, swipe/drag, or use the keyboard arrows the slides do change but the thumbnails don't update to match. I really don't want anything complicated, and I'd like to be able to change it

I've been trying to go through Public Methods to come up with a script for this but am having a hard time: [url removed, login to view] // Number of slides [url removed, login to view] // Current slide id [url removed, login to view] // Last(previous) slide id

[url removed, login to view] // Slider width [url removed, login to view] // Slider height

and looking at this example

<script>

//Example, replacing arrows with arrow symbols and adding "1 / 5" naigation

var mySliderInstance = $('#sliderId').royalSlider({

slideTransitionSpeed:400,

beforeLoadStart:function() {

$("[url removed, login to view]").text((this.currentSlideId+1) + "/" + ([url removed, login to view]) );

[url removed, login to view]("&larr;");

[url removed, login to view]("&rarr;");

},

beforeSlideChange:function() {

$("[url removed, login to view]").text((this.currentSlideId+1) + "/" + ([url removed, login to view]) );

}

}).data("royalSlider");

</script>

to come up with something. I use

$("#makingof_goto").click(function() {

[url removed, login to view](0);

});

Is there a way to modify the script using the [url removed, login to view] in a way that could match the slide numbers with the thumbnail. Like when onslide 3 change the class of #this_thumb to .current_class and then all of the other thumbs in the li list to .unselected doing something like this:

$(function() {

$(".hd ul li").click(function(){

$(this).addClass("current").siblings().removeClass("current");

$("#space_goto").click(function() {

[url removed, login to view](1);

});

})

});

This is the last thing I need to do before I send out my portfolio and I've been battling this for acouple days with no luck, any help on this would be greatly appreciated.

The documentation for this slider is here: [url removed, login to view]
