Experienced Hedge Fund Manager Needed (Australia-Based Preferred) – Portfolio Strategy & Management

Project Description: We are seeking an experienced Hedge Fund Manager (or senior investment professional with strong hedge fund experience) based in Australia to provide professional portfolio management and strategic investment advice. Preference Australian-based freelancers are strongly preferred. We prioritise candidates who are located in Australia for easier communication, time-zone alignment, and local market knowledge. About the Role You will design, implement, and oversee investment strategies focused on generating absolute returns while carefully managing risk. This is a flexible freelance / consulting engagement (ongoing or project-based). Key Responsibilities Develop and manage diversified investment portfolios across asset classes Design and implement hedging strategies Conduct market, macroeconomic, and quantitative analysis Manage risk, position sizing, and portfolio rebalancing Provide clear performance reporting and recommendations Advise on asset allocation aligned with agreed risk/return objectives Maintain transparent and regular communication Requirements Proven track record in hedge fund or sophisticated portfolio management Strong knowledge of financial markets and risk management Excellent analytical and quantitative skills Professional qualifications (CFA, CAIA or equivalent) preferred Ability to work independently and communicate clearly Must be based in Australia (or willing to work fully within Australian time zones) Project Details Location: Australia-based freelancers strongly preferred Engagement type: Freelance / consulting – part-time or project-based initially Budget: Open to discussion based on experience (please state your expected rate in your proposal) Start: As soon as a suitable candidate is identified Looking forward to receiving proposals from qualified Australian-based professionals.
