I am looking for a very skilled programmer, who can set me up a database driven domain auction website from scratch, using SQL and PHP for a domain name auction website.
I have a domain name already, the domain name is [url removed, login to view]
I also have a windows based dedicated server you can work on via remote desktop, where the site can be setup and tested. The website will be hosted from this server too, when ready to launch.
I would like a website setting up similar in functionality to [url removed, login to view]
The site must be designed, written from scratch and optimised for the search engines with white hat SEO techniques, including link building to get the website ranking in the Top 7 of Google, for the terms “domain auctions”, “uk domain auctions”, “auction domains” “domain name auctions” and “uk domain name auction site” without damaging the reputation of the site by using adverse SEO techniques.
The website will need to be integrated with PayPal API to allow domain sellers to fund their account to pay for their domain listings and any final value fees due. Activated Listings will then draw down on the customers account balance. And prompt for top-up if no money is in their account. The actual payment for the domain is handled directly between buyer and seller.
It must have full front-end and back-end control and content management systems, allowing full control of the data. A login area for customers to sign in etc, with simple data validation to ensure accurate data entry and prompt the user if the data entered is incorrect. It must allow the customers to submit domain names they want to auction on the website, the minimum reserve, Descriptive Sales Pitch. Once the domain is on the system, the buyer has the option of selecting several listing fee options for sale including £0 listing, X% Final Value, or £X Listing, 0% Final Value. (To be confirmed). The system will allow the user to select a start time and date for their domain name and select the duration of the auction, from preset offerings of 3,5,7,10,14 or 30 days. On confirming and submitting their listing. The appropriate listing fee will be calculated (based on a % of the domain listing price) and removed from their account balance and they must agree to this before listing.
The system must allow me to accept or reject domain names submitted at my sole discretion, and give me the option of acceptance of the domain name at a lower reserve price (must be an option, to allow me to send the customer an acceptance value for the domain to be listed, so that they can confirm the listing and set it live at this lower reserve easily.), Automatically sending emails to the customer informing them whether their domain has been accepted or rejected and of other key milestones.
A user must be logged in and e-mail verified in order to bid on a domain name. Bidding increments are £10. Although bidders can enter a higher bid. Auto Bidding systems must allow customers to enter their Maximum Bid, so that the system will auto-bid on their behalf up to the maximum bid, if there is competition. (The maximum bid of a customer is not displayed to other users)
The system must also allow me to easily access all previous domains listed and sold and easily print off reports for several key things. There must be a content management system for all pages on the website, so text can be manipulated as necessary.
The site will need to be launched and tested thoroughly for errors. If any errors are found, these must be put right before final payment is made for the website and systems. I would also like the freelancer to offer me a 12 month guarantee that if I find any bugs in the system after payment, they will do their best to put these rights in a timely and efficient manner at no additional cost. The Freelancer also agrees not to use any of the code specifically made for this website on any other websites operating in the same business area.
