Build a Website

We need to create an information dashboard for our customers, to view information and send email alerts about their motors. We currently hold this information locally, but we require as part of this project the creation of a MySQL database. We will then synch the data from our servers to this MySQL database. This project includes: creation of three html templates to display info (stock templates are fine, but design needs to be modern, sleek and minimalist); setup website hosting with a 3rd party, mainstream provider of your choice; and basic training in how it works. The sole purpose of the website will be to display the information with the ability to interact and drill down into data, not e-commerce, marketing or anything else. The type of motor set will dictate which template is used to display the info. EMAIL ALERTS We will require the ability to have users set up alerts when data crosses a certain threshold. This could be any one of the c. 12 data points we hold for each motor. This must be in visually attractive HTML emails DATA TO BE SHOWN FOR EACH MOTOR There are around 12 data points for each motor to be displayed. This will normally be a numeric figure. For around 3 of these datapoints we will want to show these as a line graph, and the rest will simply display the figure itself. The graphs will need to have a variable scale (e.g. last 24 hours, last 7 days, last 3 weeks). USER PERMISSIONS Each motor will have the following identifiers: 1. Motor reference 2. Motor set reference (made up of multiple motors) 3. Site reference (made up of multiple motor sets) 4. Company reference (made up of multiple sites) There are 4 levels of user: a) Motor Manager – permissions to Level 2 for a specific motor set b) Site Manager – permissions to Level 3 for a specific site c) Company Manager – permissions to Level 4 for a specific company d) Administrator – permissions to all When a new user is created, they will be assigned their user level and allocated to the relevant specific (either company, site, or motor set, depending on the user level). For a Company Manager, for example, this will enable them to log in and see all of their sites, choose a site and see all of the motor sets there, choose a motor set and see a dashboard of the performance of the motor within that motor set. A Site Manager will obviously not have to choose a site as they only have permissions to their own site. LISTS To facilitate the above we will need the following lists, which will be edited from time to time: 1. Motors, each with: a. The name of the motor b. The set in which it functions c. The site on which it is located d. The customer to whom it belongs 2. Motor sets, each with: a. The name of the set b. The 1-8 motors within the set c. The site on which it is located d. The customer to whom it belongs e. The type of set 3. Sites, each with: a. The name of the site b. The customer to whom it belongs 4. Customers, each with: a. The account number and address b. A list of users and their permissions 5. Users, each with: a. Name and contact details b. Permissions level c. Customer/site/motor set, depending on their permissions level
