As discussed (Everything is the same as in the message, but I've listed new info with ***)...
I need an image to go with one of the phrases which will be printed on the back of one of the shirts for a client of mine. The phrase is 'my job helps me maintain my dogs lifestyle'.
I've already set everything else, but I thought a picture would make it look just that bit more eye-catching. I've found some images I like and I've put them all together to show you what I want the picture to look like (attached to this project), but they are copyright, so can't be printed on shirts, which is why I need an image designed with the same type of thing. (same cartoon style, of a dog with a lot of dog stuff around it) - it can be as close to this attachment as you like, but I don't want to get anyone in trouble for copyright, so any differences you'd like to do would be fine too.
***The image must be suitable for both guys and girls to wear (ei. a lot of guys wouldn't want to wear a shirt with a pretty poodle on it), and the image will probably be printed on a black, or grey shirt, so if possible, could it be created so it could be seen well on these colours? (The attached image showed up fine, so if you do a similar style it will work out ok).***
***I'd love to see a sketch first (even a very rough one's fine), but if you think it would take too long, and would rather just create it on the computer, that's fine, just let me know!***
I still can't offer much money-wise, but I would definately like to also work with you in the future, and I definately won't quote clients as low as the amount I have this time, so I will be able to pay more for future jobs. The project is also fairly urgent, but if you can do it within a day (I can only allow 2-3 days at most due to the timeframe for the client) I will post excellent feedback as soon as it is done, and hopefully it will help get you started with other jobs on GAF too!
***You also must be ok with copyright for this image being handed over to the client, so they can have this graphic printed on as many shirts as they wish, so they can sell them.***
Also, the project will have to be done in Illustrator (your file you sent through before worked fine).
I haven't been told to stick to solid colours, or that there are a limit to how many colours to use, so if you just make it up so it looks great, and don't worry about restrictions etc, I think that will be the best bet. They haven't decided on digital or screen printing yet, so it's hard to say what restrictions there are. If they change their mind when they go to print them, it's not too hard to change gradients to solid colours is it? Cos if it's fairly easy, I can just edit the colours myself so it won't be any extra work for you.
