Logo Redesign

I have an existing logo (attached) that I need modified and made to look good. In my opinion there is too much stuff in it - I'd give it about a 3 or 4 out of 10. It needs to be polished and look professional.
Comments on the current logo:
I like the fact that it contains mountains, angels, a cross, and our slogan since all of those things combined really represent us. I just don't like how it turned out - it seems very beginner. The fonts aren't special..no shading, grading, all the fine details seem like they are missing and it just seems too cumbersome.
