I need graphic design help to create the foundation and graphic themes for a catalog depicting a new series of servo motors to be sold to engineers who are designing automation machines. This is a technical product which gives motor specifications, speed/torque curves, drawings, etc. to help engineers pick the right motor for their application. I use InDesign 5.0 and can add content but I need a creative starting point as an indd file. The catalog needs an overall look-and-feel theme throughout which is used in various elements of the catalog including tables, drawings, curves, etc. I'd prefer a professional high tech feel and not too busy. Needed main components include a cover design, inside cover (company background information), page 1 (contents), various motor information pages, and inside back cover (content TBD). I have attached a pdf file which shows some elements of the content in rough form as a reference (QuickServo-Catalog-WIP). I have also attached a catalog which exists for a similar product line for reference though I'd like a bit stronger graphic theme than this (VLM SelectionGuide).

I think you need to spend some time with the graphics elements, do a colorful and nice background as brochure starting point and then place pictures and the text accordingly. It is important to do this in a way that is easy on the eye as the users are reading it and use as clean and clutter free design as possible.
