Hi, I hope you're having a great day. I've done several on-site retail inventory counts, entering results directly into Excel and Google Sheets. I recently finished a shop count where I populated a SKU, location and lot-column Google Sheet for about 1,200 SKUs and reconciled back-stock mismatches by checking serial batches. I'd start with your preferred sheet template, do a shelf pass then a back-stock pass, and run quick spot totals in-sheet (I can use a handheld scanner if you have one).
