I was in a life/death situation and had a vivid dream with a plot that was intriguing and I want to find someone who will take the beginning of this story and help to complete it for me. I would like to see this story illustrated as a comic book in a very specific style.
The story requires a gay or gay sympathetic writer who understands these types of relationships.
The story is a bit of an enigma involving a former love who may be missing. As it originated as a dream, the story will have a dreamlike quality like a David Lynch film might have.
Even the title "The Cove" came to me in my dream. It refers to a sleepy beach-side locale that exists in a timeless period. Modern, but with a 1960's "Route 66" feel. A man (me in the dream) arrives at a beach cottage to find it empty - on the coffee table, a smoldering cigarette in the ash tray, a drink with a cube of ice in it, a faded BxW picture of the man standing next to another man (the missing man) smiling. He is apparently a former love who has been living here. The recollections are vague but insistent. Where is he and why does it feel like he just left, but it also feels like this cottage has been empty for a long time? Is the missing man a former lover? Is he an embodiment of death or loss or something else?
That is the basis for the story.
