I have a passion for writing and have been told many times that I am well spoken. I have very strong typing skills and a wonderful creative imagination. I have just recently joined freelancer and have not established a profile that is easy on the eyes. I promise that I am a dedicated person whom loves a challenge and would happily take on this adventure. My primary career is in civil engineering. However, this is an opportunity for me to fulfill a secondary interest.

I have my BA in Philosophy from the University of Pittsburgh, 1990. The most extensive experience using my writing skills was during my time as Director of Development for our local Habitat for Humanity. My grant proposals and funding applications secured over $500,000 in general and seed funding for a proposed new project which is now in its third phase. In these proposals and applications, my focus was to present to the foundations and government entities precisely how our services to the community fall directly within scope of each entities mission. I would often have to get a little creative if, for example, I was approaching a foundation that typically preferred to fund projects for the arts. I found that there is usually a way to make safe, affordable housing, a primary need, upon which all aspects the members of our communities must have available in order to continue to grow and thrive.

When I was browsing though the jungle of endless boring job offerings, I finally stumbled into a great and interesting task. It required quick writing skills, but also quality, and I just knew I was meant for the job. I didn't hesitate for long and started to write a (hopefully) positively introspective sample of my skills. My heart was pounding with enthusiasm, my fingers typing faster than ever, just to have maybe a tiny chance to get this job I had searced for so long. I took a quick look around my room to search inspiration, and saw the light magenta colored silk pillowcases I bought last week. That was when I realized I should tell about my imagination, which is wide as a canyon where a yell is heard back months later, and I took action. I wanted to tell all about it, but was afraid the text would get too long for anyone to bear. So I just told about my very, oh so very, open mind and my great versatility. Then I just posted my story, and hoped for the best. Maybe finally all my desires will be fulfilled. Hopefully I'll hear from you.
