I understand you're seeking a tutor to guide you in designing 3D organizational tools for your toolbox, much like the structured approach needed for parametric modeling in engineering design. My experience aligns perfectly with this, having previously tutored beginners in creating functional 3D assets for practical applications. My approach will involve leveraging Fusion 360 for its integrated CAD/CAM/CAE capabilities and intuitive interface, ideal for beginners. We'll start with fundamental sketching and extrusion techniques, progressively moving to more complex features like fillets, chamfers, and assembly constraints to create accurate models of your hand tools, power tools, and small parts. I'll provide tailored exercises and screen-sharing sessions to ensure a clear understanding of each step, along with links to supplementary learning resources. Could you clarify if you have a preferred software between Fusion 360, SolidWorks, or AutoCAD, or are you open to recommendations? I'm available for a brief chat to discuss your specific needs and how we can achieve your toolbox organization goals effectively.

Hi I went through your posting for "3D Toolbox Organizer Design Tutor" and this is exactly the kind of 3D Printing, 3D Rendering, 3D Modelling, Fusion 360, Solidworks, 3D CAD, 3D Animation and 3D Design work I do every week. How I Would Approach the Project: 1. Review the project scope and requirements to confirm deliverables, applicable codes, and any design or coordination requirements. 2. Develop the drawings in stages and provide progress updates so you can review and give feedback early in the process. 3. Finalize and coordinate the drawing set, make necessary revisions, and deliver the completed files while remaining available for reasonable follow-up support. I look forward hearing from you. Thanks, Kinetic

Happy to teach this, and the first thing I would tell you is that toolbox organisers are a measuring problem before they are a modelling problem. Beginners almost always model the tool they imagine rather than the tool in their hand, print it, and find the socket sits proud or the driver will not drop in. So lesson one is how to measure properly with calipers, and how much clearance to add - because a cavity cut to the exact dimension of a tool is a cavity that tool will not fit into. On software, for what you are doing I would steer you to Fusion 360 over AutoCAD. It is parametric, so when you discover a slot needs another half millimetre you change one number and the model updates, rather than redrawing. That single property is what makes organisers pleasant to design, since you will iterate more than you expect. How I would run it: we build one real organiser together, start to finish - measure, sketch, extrude, test print, adjust. You learn the workflow on something you actually keep, rather than on an abstract exercise. After that the second one is mostly you, with me checking the file before you commit filament to it. I work in SolidWorks and Fusion daily, and I am used to explaining this to people who have never opened CAD. What are you organising first, and what printer and build volume are you working with?

Hi, I’ve reviewed the tools shown in your project, and I’m confident I can help with the design. I have 3 years of experience in mechanical CAD design using SolidWorks and AutoCAD. I have previously designed custom fixtures and tooling for Milwaukee, including mechanical fixtures used in testing applications. Although those projects are not exactly toolbox organizers, the tool design and mechanical features are closely related to what you need. You can check my profile, where I’ve uploaded photos and videos of these actual projects and machines in operation. I can create clean 3D models for your hand tools, power tools, and small parts, while also guiding you step by step so you can understand and edit the models yourself. I’m confident I can adapt my previous experience to your toolbox organizer project and start immediately. Best regards, Quoc Khanh
