Thermal analysis (modulus method, hand calc — not simulation): zone subdivision A–E, thermal modulus M = V/A per zone (Fusion measures V and A), hot-spot/last-to-solidify identification, directional-solidification check (≥10% step, ≤30% variation), chills/sleeve recommendation. Riser design — hand calc per ASSOFOND tables: modulus rule MM ≥ 1.2·ME, riser sizing, neck sizing, feeding-radius verification → riser modeled in Fusion. Gating system design — hand calc: Dietert filling time, flow rate/velocity, pressurized 4:3:2 sprue/runner/gate areas → gating modeled in Fusion.
