San Diego ASL Interpreters Needed

I require two freelance American Sign Language professionals with advanced skills to facilitate clear communication for employees of the DAV in the San Diego area. The assignment centers on virtual and occasional in-person, one-on-one consultations, so hands-up fluency, cultural competency, and strict confidentiality are all essential. Sessions will be scheduled during regular business hours at the DAV workplace; each interpreter will work separately with staff members to relay technical, HR-related, and day-to-day information accurately and impartially. Because these meetings are private, a polished, conversational interpreting style—along with the ability to clarify specialized vocabulary on the spot—is crucial. Deliverables • On-site ASL interpretation for every scheduled consultation • Brief post-session notes highlighting any unresolved communication points • Reliable arrival and departure times coordinated with my internal calendar An active RID certification or equivalent documented experience is preferred, and familiarity with veterans’ services or nonprofit environments is a plus.
