We work with corporate and government organisations to provide short 4-minute video knowledge bites. Videos are streamed to their employees online and on mobile devices.
I would like to make use of illustrations in one video to test the idea of using illustrations in future videos.
The illustrations are used to play out a scenario; we have provided the scenario in the attached document. We are sourcing around 8 simple images to illustrate 1 scene, for this first piece of work - this is to test your ability and creativity for future work. My colleague tells me that we should only use actors to act scenes - I want to prove them wrong. I believe a great animator or illustrator will not only be more cost-effective but could also provide great expression to our scenes!
Delivery of files: Our preference is to receive the files in a digital format since they will be used in video, e.g. vector, flash. Our preference is also for animation. We are happy to consider drawings that can be filmed on delivery and we will animate.
Future projects: As stated above, we are using this to test the viability of using illustrations in training videos and in this manner. If we like what we see and believe that this is a better option for communicating our training materials, then we will work with the illustrator to produce many more of these.
Copyright: If you are chosen for this project, we expect that the all characters created for us will be owned by our organisation for future use. If illustrations are a popular medium, we are keen to develop these characters into a 'cast of characters' over time.
Timeline: We expect that scenario to be delivered within 1 week of the bid being accepted. It is only 1 scene with 8 expressions so we believe that this is more than enough time.
