I need a full EasyEDA project—schematic and routed PCB—for a tiny Atmega32U4 board that lets a computer drive a single external LED through a 3-pin XH-JST connector (GND / 5 V / LED). The board must talk and be programmable over a horizontal USB-C port and should remain as small as practical without sacrificing good layout practice. Core requirements • EasyEDA schematic using the Atmega32U4, including crystal or resonator, USB-C E-Markers (where needed), ESD protection, boot-cap circuitry and the standard reset network. • Break-out to one XH-JST-3 plug clearly silkscreened with the GND, +5 V and LED symbols. • Primary power supplied by USB-C 5 V rail. • Firmware that gives basic functionality: detect USB power, expose the MCU as a simple USB HID to flip the LED on or off, and keep the bootloader intact for future updates. Plain C or Arduino is fine as long as it compiles under the usual open-source toolchain. • Clear, step-by-step flashing instructions using the USB-C port. • Board outline kept minimal; aim for something that could fit inside a key-fob enclosure. Deliverables 1. EasyEDA project files: schematic, PCB, libraries. 2. Gerber, drill, pick-and-place and BOM exports ready for fabrication. 3. Compilable firmware source plus pre-built .hex. 4. One rendered board image for approval before I release the main milestone. 5. Up to five rounds of minor corrections after that review. 6. Short build guide and flashing instructions (PDF or Markdown). 7. Follow-up help once I have the first assembled unit in hand. 8. Compatible with any game that can detect and use generic joysticks 9. Powered by USB bus (+5V - 500mA) so no external power supply is needed I will supply a rough concept picture for reference; please treat it only as a visual guide. Looking forward to seeing a clean, compact design that I can send straight to the assembler.

Hi, I am an embedded systems engineer with over 16 years of experience taking compact consumer electronics from concept through PCB layout, firmware, bring-up, and production. I can create the complete EasyEDA design for this ATmega32U4 USB-C LED controller, including the correct USB-C CC configuration, ESD protection, clock, reset/boot circuitry, clearly marked JST connection, and a compact key-fob-friendly layout. I will also develop and test the HID firmware while preserving USB bootloader updates, provide the compiled HEX and clear flashing/build instructions, and export fabrication-ready Gerbers, BOM, drill, and pick-and-place files. Before final release, I will supply the rendered PCB for approval and accommodate the requested minor correction rounds, followed by bring-up support for your first assembled board. One point to confirm: should the device enumerate as a standard game controller with an LED output report, or should LED control use a separate HID interface alongside the joystick interface? I would be happy to discuss the details and review your concept picture.

This project can be developed as a compact ATmega32U4 USB controller board in EasyEDA. I would begin with the schematic, using the ATmega32U4 with a 16 MHz crystal/resonator, required decoupling capacitors, AVCC filtering, reset pull-up and reset capacitor, ICSP/programming pads, and the standard USB bootloader circuitry. The USB-C connector will operate as a USB 2.0 device and provide the board’s 5 V supply. CC1 and CC2 will each use 5.1 kΩ pull-down resistors; no USB-C E-marker is required because the board is a USB device drawing standard bus power. D+ and D− will include suitable series resistors and low-capacitance ESD protection. A polyfuse can also be added for USB power protection. The external LED connection will use a JST-XH 3-pin connector labeled clearly as GND, +5V, and LED. The LED signal can be driven directly by a GPIO for a low-current control input, or through a transistor/MOSFET if the external LED requires higher current. Firmware can be based on LUFA or Arduino Leonardo-compatible USB libraries. The ATmega32U4 will appear as a generic USB HID/joystick, allowing games to detect it without a custom driver. The PCB should use a small 2-layer layout, with the USB-C connector at the edge, short differential USB traces, continuous ground, proper decoupling placement, and a key-fob-sized outline. Final outputs would include EasyEDA files, Gerbers, BOM, CPL, firmware source/HEX, rendered PCB image, and flashing/build instructions.

Hello, I can design this compact ATmega32U4 USB-C board in EasyEDA from schematic through manufacturing-ready files and firmware. I understand the key requirements: minimal key-fob-sized PCB, horizontal USB-C, USB programming/data, ESD and reset protection, crystal/resonator, bootloader support, USB 5 V power, and a clearly labeled XH-JST-3 output for GND / +5 V / LED. I will deliver: • Complete EasyEDA schematic and routed PCB • Compact, manufacturable layout with proper USB differential routing and grounding • Gerbers, drill, PnP and BOM • ATmega32U4 firmware with generic USB HID functionality • Compilable source + pre-built HEX • USB-C bootloader/flashing instructions • Rendered PCB preview before final release • Build guide and support during first prototype bring-up For the HID requirement, I can implement the device as a standard USB HID controller so it can interface with software/games supporting generic HID/joystick inputs. I’ll also preserve the bootloader and provide a straightforward recovery/programming procedure. I have extensive experience with compact USB/MCU PCB designs, EasyEDA/KiCad/Altium, production files, and embedded firmware. I can start immediately and keep the design focused on simplicity, reliability, and minimum board size. Best regards, Yaroslav

⭐⭐⭐⭐⭐ Your project is a great fit for my 15+ years of PCB and embedded development experience. I can create the complete EasyEDA project, keeping the board compact enough for a key-fob-style enclosure while maintaining clean USB, power, and MCU layout practices. I’ll handle the complete hardware and firmware: • ATmega32U4 schematic with clock, reset, bootloader, decoupling and USB circuitry • Horizontal USB-C with proper CC, ESD and D+/D− routing • 3-pin XH-JST connector clearly labeled GND / +5V / LED • Compact routed PCB optimized for USB bus power • Gerber, drill, pick-and-place and complete BOM • USB HID firmware configured as a generic joystick/gamepad, including LED control • Compilable source + pre-built HEX and flashing instructions • Rendered PCB image for approval • Up to five minor correction rounds and post-assembly support I’ll also verify the USB-C implementation and avoid unnecessary components such as E-Markers unless the actual power/data requirements call for them. One important question: should the LED be controlled as a single digital ON/OFF button/joystick function, or should the computer be able to control its brightness as well? I can make the final package ready to send directly to your assembler.

Hi, I can handle the complete project from schematic through PCB layout, manufacturing files, firmware, and documentation. I’m experienced in **ATmega/AVR, USB devices, EasyEDA, schematic design, PCB layout, and embedded firmware**, and I’ll focus on keeping the board compact enough for a key-fob-style enclosure while maintaining proper USB, power, ESD, grounding, and routing practices. For this design I will provide: * Complete EasyEDA schematic and routed PCB * ATmega32U4 USB implementation with crystal/resonator, reset and bootloader circuitry * USB-C connector with appropriate CC configuration and ESD protection * USB 5 V bus power with proper decoupling and protection * XH-JST-3 connector clearly labeled **GND / +5V / LED** * Compact 2-layer/4-Layer PCB layout optimized for manufacturability * Compilable source code and ready-to-flash HEX * Gerber, drill, BOM and pick-and-place files * Rendered PCB image for approval before the main milestone * Build guide and step-by-step USB-C flashing instructions * Post-assembly support for the first unit One point I would clarify during implementation: if the goal is compatibility with games that only accept generic joysticks/gamepads, I’ll implement the appropriate USB HID game-controller interface rather than a simple keyboard HID, so the computer exposes the device in a way those games can detect. I can work from your concept image as a visual reference while designing the actual circuit and PCB from scratch.

Integrating an ATmega32U4 into a key-fob footprint requires careful management of the USB-C CC pin pull-downs for host detection, alongside a clean ground plane to ensure stable HID enumeration. I will design the PCB in EasyEDA with a focus on trace routing for the differential USB pairs and compact placement of the reset network and crystal oscillator. My approach ensures the board remains robust for daily use, incorporating ESD protection on the USB data lines and proper decoupling for the 5V rail to prevent logic resets during LED switching. I will provide the full schematic, layout, and manufacturing outputs, along with a documented design flow that ensures the MCU remains accessible for future updates. Regarding the USB-C implementation, I will handle the necessary CC pin configuration to ensure the device is correctly recognized by the host controller as a bus-powered peripheral. To ensure this design fits your specific enclosure, which board-edge dimensions or mounting hole constraints should I prioritize as fixed during the layout phase?
