I have a MikroTik running RouterOS that I want to turn into a mini-ISP edge. The box will sit behind several uplinks—one of them is a Starlink terminal and I may add fibre, DSL or cable later—so the configuration must bond or load-balance multiple connections and fail over cleanly. Downstream, each customer plugs in their own router and receives an address via my DHCP pool. I need to be able to set a per-Mbps cap for every client, enforce a sensible firewall policy, and keep management, customer traffic and any future VoIP on separate VLANs. Key elements I expect from you: • Multi-WAN bonding / load balancing that includes Starlink • Fully functional DHCP server handing out the ranges I specify • Bandwidth control per user (simple queues or queue trees—your call) • Robust firewall rules for basic security and DDoS protection • VLAN scheme that isolates management and customer networks Deliverables 1. An import-ready .rsc (or step-by-step CLI script) covering the entire configuration 2. A concise guide explaining how to add or remove uplinks, create new speed profiles, and expand VLANs 3. A live remote session to load the config, test throughput, verify fail-over and confirm firewall rule hits Please rely only on standard RouterOS features (WinBox or pure CLI is fine). Once your setup lets me plug in a customer router, assign their speed, and watch traffic switch seamlessly between bonded links when one line drops, the job is complete.

Hello, I see you need a MikroTik edge that bonds Starlink and links, provides DHCP pools, caps each client’s Mbps, and separates management, VoIP and customer traffic with VLANs and firewall rules. I will write a CLI .rsc that sets up PCC load‑balance for WANs, creates the DHCP ranges you specify, adds simple‑queue speed limits per user, and configures a firewall with DDoS protection and VLAN isolation. You will receive script, a short guide for adding links or speed profiles, and a remote session to load, test fail‑over and verify rules. How many uplinks will you start with and what are their speeds? Do you prefer PCC or ECMP load balancing? Will customer routers use DHCP on their LAN? I can deliver solution for $180 within three days.

Hi, I reviewed your MikroTik RouterOS request to act as a mini-ISP edge with multi-WAN bonding/load balancing (including Starlink), clean failover, per-customer DHCP, VLAN isolation, bandwidth caps, and a hardened firewall. I’ll implement multi-WAN using RouterOS standard features, set up DHCP server(s) for your specified ranges, and apply bandwidth control per user with simple queues or queue trees. I’ll also design VLANs so management, customer traffic, and future VoIP stay isolated, then enforce Firewall, Network Monitoring, and Network Security using rules that support DDoS-resistant behavior. You’ll receive an import-ready .rsc or CLI script plus a short guide for uplink and VLAN changes, and I’ll be responsive during testing and verification, Let’s discuss here now.

Hello Sir, One thing worth setting expectations on upfront: Starlink can't be true bonded — it's CGNAT with variable latency, so it works in a PCC load-balance or failover role but won't aggregate into a single session with a fibre or DSL link. I'd design it as PCC load-balancing with recursive gateway checks for failover, which gets you seamless switching when a line drops even if it isn't literal bonding. The rest is standard RouterOS: VLAN scheme isolating management, customer and future VoIP traffic; DHCP server on your specified ranges; simple queues per client for per-Mbps caps (easier to add/remove customers than queue trees); firewall with connection tracking, rate limits and SYN protection. Deliverables: import-ready .rsc, a guide for adding uplinks and speed profiles, and a live session to load, test throughput and verify failover. I have worked here with more than 130+ clients. Available immediately. Best regards, Vishruth

Hello, "MikroTik Multi‑WAN Bonding With VLAN Segmentation" - load‑balancing multiple uplinks and per‑client bandwidth caps I will use RouterOS's PCC (Per Connection Classifier) to split traffic across all uplinks because it gives reliable load‑balancing and fast fail‑over. I recently fixed a similar network setup for a Home Assistant Zigbee gateway, see the review here: https://www.freelancer.com/projects/zigbee/Troubleshoot-Zigbee-Connection-Home/reviews. Starlink often changes its public IP; I will add a script that automatically updates the WAN interface and keeps the bonding active without manual intervention. Do you have the exact IP ranges and VLAN IDs you plan to assign for management, VoIP and customer traffic? Looking forward to working with you. Artur Giżycki

Hi there, I can help you configure your MikroTik RouterOS device into a reliable mini-ISP edge router with multi-WAN management, customer bandwidth control, VLAN separation, and secure firewall policies. I understand you need a setup that can handle multiple uplinks like Starlink now and additional fibre/DSL connections later. I can configure load balancing/failover, DHCP services, per-customer speed limits, firewall protection, and a clean network structure that keeps management, customer traffic, and future VoIP services isolated. I will provide a complete RouterOS configuration script (.rsc) with clear documentation explaining how to add new providers, create bandwidth profiles, and expand VLANs as your ISP grows. I can also assist with the remote installation, testing failover behavior, checking queue limits, and verifying firewall rules. Could you share your MikroTik model, current RouterOS version, and how many WAN links you plan to use initially? Looking forward to working with you. Thanks

The bid amount and timeline above are rough ballpark figures , we'll sharpen both once we've had a quick look at your current RouterOS version and the exact uplink setup. You want a MikroTik box to act as a proper ISP edge: bonding Starlink alongside whatever other uplinks you add later, serving DHCP to customer routers behind it, capping each subscriber's speed, and keeping everything neatly separated with VLANs. The finish line is a live session where you can plug in a customer router, assign a speed tier, and watch traffic shift cleanly when one uplink drops. Here's how we'd approach it: - Multi-WAN routing: recursive gateway monitoring with ECMP or PCC (per-connection classification) load balancing across Starlink and any additional uplinks, with failover rules so traffic routes around a dead line automatically. - DHCP and addressing: dedicated DHCP server pools per VLAN, static leases where you need them, and address lists tied to speed profiles so adding a new subscriber is a one-minute job. - Bandwidth control: queue trees on the mangle layer, with named speed profiles you can assign or swap per client without rebuilding the whole queue structure. - Firewall and DDoS basics: drop rules for invalid/bogus traffic, connection-rate limits, port-knocking or IP whitelist for management access, and basic anti-spoof filters on the WAN interfaces. - VLAN scheme: bridge VLANs separating management, customer traffic and a reserved VoIP segment, each with its own interface, DHCP pool and firewall chain. - Deliverables: a clean import-ready .rsc file plus a short plain-language guide covering how to add an uplink, create a speed tier, or expand a VLAN, then a live remote session to load, test and verify everything together. After a short scope chat we'll put together a written proposal covering deliverables, timeline and a firm price. Want to jump on a quick call this week to walk through your current setup before we start writing the script? Best, 96 Studio

Hello, Please check my profile. I am very familiar with MikroTik ISP configuration. I’d be happy to help you build a stable MikroTik ISP configuration that is ready for real customer usage. From your requirements, the main goal is creating a network setup where customers can connect their own routers, receive addresses automatically, get controlled bandwidth, and continue operating smoothly even when one internet link fails. I can configure the RouterOS environment with multi-WAN load balancing, Starlink integration, DHCP pools, simple queues/queue trees, VLAN segmentation, and secure firewall rules. I will keep the configuration clean and easy to maintain so you can add more uplinks, customers, and service types later without rebuilding the network. After setup, I can guide you through testing throughput, failover switching, and monitoring traffic behavior. Do you already have your customer network design planned (number of clients, speed packages, VLAN structure), or would you like me to suggest a scalable ISP layout? Looking forward to helping you. Thanks
