Market structure is where the actual work sits, because "market structure" means different things to different traders — break of structure, change of character, swing highs and lows, order blocks. Getting your definition pinned down before coding is the difference between one build and four revisions. So my first step would be a short written spec agreed with you: exactly how a swing point is confirmed, what counts as a break, and what the alert should fire on. Then: - MACD with configurable fast, slow and signal periods, plus crossover and divergence detection rather than just the line values. - Market structure detection to your agreed definition, marked on the chart. - Signal alerts — configurable per indicator, with debounce so a candle that flickers across a threshold does not fire five notifications. - Backtestable against historical data, so you can see how the signals would have behaved before trusting them live. Background: Python, algorithms and real-time data pipelines in production. I would rather build indicators that are correct and testable than fast to demo. Questions: which platform is this for — TradingView Pine, MetaTrader, or a Python system of your own? And where should alerts go: on-chart, email, Telegram?
